The Boise National Forest offers anglers many opportunities to experience fine fishing.

Trout are a native species to most all of the rivers, streams and lakes.

Major rivers that run through the Forest with great fishing include the the North, Middle and South Forks of the Payette River and the North, Middle and South Forks of the Boise River. Oceangoing salmon and steelhead also inhabit tributaries of the nearby Salmon River.
